On Repeat

On Repeat is a music discovery podcast hosted by Dave Cool (yes, that’s his real name). When Dave finds a song he really likes, he becomes addicted to it and literally puts it on repeat. And that’s the music you’ll hear on the podcast. Each episode features a carefully curated playlist of songs, as well as an in-depth interview with one of the artists.

In the feature interview, Dave spoke with Franco Proietti about his funk/jazz troupe, The Morph-tet. In this in-depth conversation, Franco discusses life as an independent musician, including living in the shadow of past projects, frustrations with industry gatekeepers, and taking things into his own hands by starting a music festival. This eleven-piece Folk-Noir/Cabaret band is beloved in the Montreal music scene, but fans might have a pizza delivery guy from Windsor and a thieving Vancouver cab driver to thank for the band’s very existence…
